This policy outlines how we handle the processing, shipping, and delivery of all products purchased through our website and sales channels.
🏗️ 1. Container Homes & Custom Builds
Production & Lead Times
All container homes and modular builds are custom-made to order.
Standard lead times range from 6 to 10 weeks, depending on project size, materials, and customization level.
Once your order is confirmed, you’ll receive a detailed build and delivery timeline.
Delivery & Installation
- We offer nationwide delivery across Australia via heavy transport carriers.
- Homes are delivered on flatbed or tilt-tray trucks and placed using cranes or forklifts.
- For rural, off-grid, or restricted-access sites, delivery requirements will be assessed before dispatch.
- Installation and connection to services (power, water, sewer) can be arranged through our approved contractors.
International Shipping
We also deliver to the Pacific and Oceania regions, including Tahiti, New Zealand, and Fiji.
International shipping is managed via sea freight with a standard ETA of 5–8 weeks after dispatch.
All export shipments include necessary documentation: Bill of Lading, Packing List, Commercial Invoice, and Certificate of Origin, where required.
📦 2. Appliances, Accessories & Components
Processing Time
Orders for standard items (appliances, tanks, lighting, etc.) are processed within 2–4 business days.
If an item is backordered, we will notify you immediately with an updated delivery estimate.
Shipping Methods
We partner with Australia Post, Toll, and StarTrack for domestic deliveries.
All orders include tracking information sent to your email once dispatched.
Estimated Delivery Times:
- Metro areas: 3–5 business days
- Regional areas: 5–10 business days
- Remote/off-grid areas: 10–14 business days
💰 3. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on order size, destination, and delivery method.
Large modular units and heavy goods (e.g., tanks, panels) may require special freight arrangements.
You’ll receive a full shipping quote prior to order confirmation.
🧾 4. Delivery Acceptance
Please ensure someone is available to receive your delivery.
Before signing for your order:
- Inspect all items for visible damage.
- Note any issues on the delivery docket and notify us within 24 hours.
If delivery cannot be completed due to site inaccessibility or absence, re-delivery fees may apply.
⚠️ 5. Delays & Force Majeure
While we always aim for on-time delivery, unforeseen events such as weather, port delays, or supply chain disruptions may affect estimated timelines.
In such cases, AU Container Homes will promptly notify you and provide revised ETAs.
🔐 6. Risk & Ownership
Risk passes to the customer upon delivery or installation.
Ownership of goods transfers once full payment is received.
