🏗️ 1. Custom-Built Container Homes
All container homes are made-to-order according to client specifications.
Once fabrication has commenced, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded except where required by law.
However, if a build is delayed, defective, or materially inconsistent with the agreed specifications, AU Container Homes will work with you to repair, replace, or partially refund the affected component as applicable.
⚙️ 2. Standard Products (Appliances, Tanks, Fixtures)
If you purchase standard items such as appliances, fittings, or irrigation systems:
- Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided items are unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging.
- A restocking fee (10–15%) may apply to cover handling and inspection.
- The buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the item is faulty or damaged upon arrival.

💧 3. Faulty or Damaged Goods
If your product arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described:
- Notify us within 7 days of receiving your order.
- We will arrange for repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you, as required under Australian Consumer Law.
- All faulty items must be inspected or documented before replacement approval.
📦 4. Change of Mind
We do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases on custom-built products.
For non-custom items, change-of-mind returns are assessed case-by-case, provided the item remains unused and in resale condition.
💰 5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method within 5–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.
You’ll receive a confirmation email once the refund has been completed.
🔐 6. Warranty Coverage
All electrical and plumbing components include manufacturer warranties (1–3 years), and AU Container Homes provides a 3-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty on builds.
Warranty claims are processed separately from return requests but may result in repair, replacement, or refund depending on the issue.
